Editorial policy
Coastal Football Guide aims to publish clear, fair and useful writing about football culture by the sea. Readers should be able to tell what a piece is saying, why it says it and when a correction is warranted.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable sources before publication and take care with names, dates and descriptions. We distinguish fact from opinion, avoid presenting a local custom as universal and revise an article when reliable information shows that it is wrong or unclear.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to secure favourable coverage for a club, organisation or partner. A commercial relationship does not guarantee an article, endorsement or particular conclusion.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us with the article subject and the detail you believe needs attention. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and clarify material changes in the relevant article where appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can recognise the relationship. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary photographs.
Place is part of the game
Coastal football is shaped by more than what happens on the pitch. The shore, the club and the matchday customs all belong in the picture.
